Cape Town Day

Today has been filled with lots of adventures! We started the day out with an amazing breakfast in the hotel🍴

Our tour guide picked us up for what we thought was a half day tour of Cape Town; unbenounced to us it was a whole day and then we added another adventure!  We ended up walking back into the hotel at 5:30 completely exhausted! The first stop was Rhodes Memorial to learn more about the history of his impact on the South African culture and continued legacy in academics. Next onto Castle of Good Hope, Bo Kapp to see the colorful homes and my favorite Camps Bay...where we enjoyed world class cocktails and lunch on the beach!   It still amazes us that we can have an amazing meal for less than $20 each with cocktails!! And so so good!!!
Our tour guide gave us an hour and half in Camps Bay so we wandered over to the beach across from the restaurant! It was crazy there because people were laying out on the beach yet 10ft off the beach it was mid 70's with wind.  We still stuck our toes in the sand & even in the freezing cold Atlantic!

2nd Tour

I'm a little behind on the updates here:)

Friday we saw soooooo much, we were a little exhausted to say the least! We started the day off at Hout Bay for seal watching. We arrived at the bay to jump on a small boat to go out on the rocky waters to large rocks where the massive amounts of seals were just out there sunbathing and playing in the water.

From the seals we made a couple small stops for photos but onto the next main stop at the Cape of Good Hope. This is the most southern western point of Africa and the views were nothing like I have ever experienced!
The next stop was Cape Point which is the southern most tip of Africa.
Next stop of the day was Boulders Beach with the Penguins!!! Crazy to see all those wild Jackass Africana penguins just hanging out!  Ragan and I agreed we could sit there for hours and watch them!
Our tour guide, who was hilarious & amazing, brought us to a great lunch spot 5min from the Penguins. We had a great lunch with the rest of our group, eating the local fish, Kingklip and humongous prawns!  Best buttery sweet fish ever!
Last stop of the day was the kirstenbosch botanical gardens where we walked the canopy bridge designed in the shape of a snake skeleton. Breathtaking views once again!

Table Top Mountain

Today, we did a lot!  However, I haven't posted about Table Top Mountain and this, in my opinion, needs its own entire blog entry. After our day long tour we decided last minute to go catch the cable car up to Table Top due to the nice weather. It tends to be very cloudy up there and if you have a chance of clear air, grab it!  So we did... or thought we did; the clouds came in at a fast pace right after getting to the top! These pictures don't explain how high, how scared(Ragan was(just in the cable car)) or how out of body this experience was for us!  It was heaven on earth 😇

We made it!!!

Arrived in Cape Town this afternoon around 4:30pm! Flew in and was amazed by the views. No set plans for tonight except a good shower after days of traveling and a nice dinner on the Waterfront. Hotel is quaint, French inspired and amazing! We've already made a couple friends from NYC. Can't wait for days to come...

Milan onto Dubai

Well we didn't realize we were making a pit stop in Milan, just for 1.5hrs, which brought back memories of our first trip together to Italy! We quickly boarded same plane to head onto Duabi(another 5.5hrs) where we will see a BED!!! Haha our cozy 3 seat stretch & funny reads are holding us over and maybe some wine;) More interesting posts to come once we are not in air!
